Being as old as I am now, I was brought up with the older ways in school..
I also learned from very early age on not only how to print my letters, but how to write cursive.
And our way of speaking we were taught how to, "Pronunciate" our words and was introduced to the world of phonics in both sound and writing..
I would like to give full credit to the authoress for creating her little book of phonics for some of our words and phrases of Tsaligi (Cherokee) language and English phrases. Learning a new language is most definitely harder if one cannot "Hear" how it is properly said and vocalized.
Please remember some words had to be constructed to modern-day so as to make a complete statement.
As we did not actually have words for certain things in the English language.
So, please enjoy this little book of wisdom..
(Words ending with ey are said like key. Words ending with double 00 are said like boo)
