« on: March 03, 2014, 11:12:55 PM »
Turpentine was used raw on cuts and wounds, or it can whipped in egg whites for burns or mixed with lard/shortening for tight chest colds or even sinus.

A child with a white ring around his/her mouth, a sign of intestinal worms.  Give them a spoonful of sugar and a eye dropper drop of turpentine.

A very good liniment was made by beating an egg, distilled vinegar about a 1/2 teaspoon full and an equal teaspoon full of turpentine and beat until white and smooth.

A remedy cure for head lice and the nits eggs.. Use a small bowl that can be thrown away after use. Depending on the length of infected ones hair, is the amount you need to mix 1/2 Lard/Shortening to equal parts of Turpentine.  Massage the mixture into the scalp and wrap the head in a towel then leave on for 30 minutes then wash the victims hair throughly and make sure to use a regular hair conditioner also.

For wire cuts in your livestock, pour into their cuts and wounds raw and not diluted.

A bottle cap of turpentine added to wash is better than regular bleach for whiting clothes

A few drops of of turpentine in your mop water, makes varnished surfaces glisten and windows and painted woodwork shine

Spread a mixture of axle grease and turpentine on farm machinery to prevent rust during the winter months and just use it raw to clean machinery and work tools in the spring and summer months.
