At a Powwow, I kept noticing this young woman who was wearing a shirt that had printed on it, "Don't wake the Dreamer." After awhile I went over and told her what a powerful statement her shirt was making for me.
I told her that a long time ago there were many many dreamers and that they dreamed Great Dreams for their people. Then one day the dreamers were all woken up and told you are now Great Warriors go forward and protect your people. And they did as best as they were able and many died. Today there are many new Warriors and many new Dreamers. Some of these new dreams are being passed down from those who have already crossed over. Those Great Warriors that can now float in the winds and dance in the clouds. To see them you just have to close your eyes and dream and they may dance for you.

The Beast Master
I have seen a vision of the Beast Master
that can fly and swim the mighty river
He walks this land devouring the evil upon it
and only drinks from the land of the seven lakes.
The Red Ones will one day feed him sacred cherries
grown by the river of rocks.
For in that day, our Nations will be reborn
and the Ghost Dancers will ride upon his back.
