RedNation

First off, I wish to acknowledge our Beautiful Sister and Very Talented Artist ‘Warrior of the Eastern Star Woman’ for creating our Nations new Seal/Logo.  It was so inspired by spirit through her and does speak volumes of truth and meaning of what this Nation stands for. 

Although the Native Indigenous did not call them peace pipes, we are proud to call this sacred pipe a pipe of peace.  It symbolically represents harmony and peace and the physical and spiritual journey of life.

 RedNation, wishes to bring to all Indigenous all over the entire world that harmony and peace. A place where none will be turned away because of the way they look or lack of blood quatum. It has ALWAYS been what is in ones heart and how one lives from day to day. If you walk the road of the Creator, then we welcome you.

RedNation is a “Teaching Nation” of the Physical and Spiritual by Uniting as One People of Same Hearts and Minds in that Journey of Life in preserving Cultures, Knowledge, Languages, Spirituality and Beliefs, Dance, Arts and Crafts and the list goes on and on.

The gentle swirling smoke from the tobacco represents the prayers and worship we send out every day to the Creator of All the Heavenly Father, also called the Great Spirit, the Great Mystery, Yowa and many many other names in other beliefs and tongues.. He, is the one and only from which we ALL was created from.  

Tobacco is a representative of speaking with truth from the heart. 

The four feathers stands in representation of giving honour  (Not Worship) to the four directional spirits, which is also the same as the four Archangels that the Creator assigned to protect the four corners of the world.

The Broken barbed wire represents our freedom of choice that we as human beings are given by our Creator, it also represents universally freedom of mankind from oppression of any kind, that hinders us from individual growth in physical or spiritual development.

The leather strap with two beads represents the two levels of Medicine, Herbal healing and the Spiritual healing. 

The other leather strap underneath the bowl/cone of the pipe, represents all things are in connection one with another and returns to the point of origin by the cycle of life itself, The Creator. Then goes down to the beginning of the life cycle (first ring of the leather), on down to the path of our lives (represented by the straight piece of leather)to the next ring, is our Adult life as we take different paths in our walks of life Good or Bad ( represented by the split piece of leather)..Then we return to the Earth Mother in which the Creator formed us from and breathed the breath of life into. Which then the  spirits of the one’s before us (The Ancestors) and our loved ones past and present, that are returned  back to the Creator by our constant prayers we send up to Him in the sacred smoke.

There has been so much talk about selling ones heritage out by teaching outside one’s own Nation or tribe or to non-native.  The reality check is if we do not share and teach one another, all knowledge will be lost as our Elders and wisdom keepers make their journeys from this world.

People are still asking the Question “What can I do to help my Nation?”

Spread the word of the Nation you are part of, the place you can call home among your own people and extended Native family.

As We Face the Winds Together!

To try to answer the questions about what is going on with the split with the two Nations, without sounding as if we have a anger/hate campaign against RedNation (of the Cherokee)…

The Chief of RedNation (of the Cherokee) has decided to go a totally different direction away from being a teaching/spiritual Nation for all. He has gone into the political end of matters and has stepped away from the original direction of what it set out to be.

The Medicine people whom supported him of other Nations and Tribes, has decided to pull away from him and wish him well on the journey he has chosen for himself.

So came the singular name of “RedNation”….It is still composed of the original ideals of being a “Teaching Nation” of all Nations and Tribes all over the entire world, NOT JUST Cherokee alone.

“RedNation” is still (one word) joined together spiritually of like minds, hearts and paths towards the same goal of uniting all Indigenous peoples together. This being the sole purpose of preserving languages, cultures and heritage’s to pass on to other generations so all will not be lost.

No, we are not separating from the east or western Cherokee to go on our own, only RedNation (of the Cherokee). We have just removed ourselves from the (politics) and holding true to the traditional ideals of our ancestors. Although we live with modern lifestyles of modern day, we still can go by the morals and ideals and spirituality as the ones who walked before us.

The last I will say on this, It is asked ask that you read or re-read the “Leaders” page on our web site…it does explain why the medicine people believe and think the way we do, and where we are going with just simply “RedNation” with no one person in charge but the Creator Himself and all our good and good only Spiritual Ancestors whom has went before us.

As it is with all human beings we have been given the gift of choice, Sometimes to move forward we cannot look back on the decisions that are made..

Mine was to continue to uphold the responsibility of the teachings and spiritual, and not the politics of mankind. This is why I left RedNation (of the Cherokee) and wished them well on the pathway they chose.

I came with a good heart, and I left with the same.

Some of you may have noticed that the fee for membership has been dropped to ten dollars… and I can hear the comments about Ten Dollar Indians in the background… Well here is the deal, guess what, when the white man first started waving ten dollar bills about that was an absolute fortune, a family could live on that type of money and live in style…

RedNation is built on the stories of our ancestors and considering the times they lived in, then the idea of being worth so much would have tickled the funny bones beautifully… Especially since in those days, you could buy a a good horse for two dollars, that means at the very least every indigenous person is worth five good horses each  We have all heard “Not worth a plugged nickel”, well we are worth every single cent of that ten dollars….

We have had a number of questions regarding the political standing of RedNation in recent weeks… If you go to http://rednation.org/ourleaders.html we believe that should more then answer the questions asked… RedNation is completely NON-political which is why there is no chief or hierachy as such… Only a dedicated group of medicine elders from all nations, tribes and races of indigenous peoples all over the world working together to teach and guide the hearts of those whom walk the Creator’s many and varied pathways…

Everything is progressing beautifully with the coding and imagery and shortly folks we will be beginning the initial testing of the new, super-improved website… It will feature a smoother interface, easier navigation and less of the huge pages where you feel you are scrolling forever, and nope, nothing will be lost, if anything it should be far easier to actually find and keep… Look forwards to your comments when we get it rolling…
