2 cups of navy beans (Cooked) with a little ham or bacon for the Noon Meal
Then for the evening meal, you take what is left and add:
4 potatoes diced into pieces, not too small
1 Medium-size onion also cut up or diced
1/4 head of cabbage cut up
1/2 can of stewed tomatoes, or fresh diced tomatoes about 3/4 cup
salt/pepper to taste
Cover with water and cook until vegetables are done usually about 30 minutes
If you just like a thinner soup, just add as much water to the consistency you would like.
Also you can add whatever vegetables you like, just give the extra time for those vegetables to cook.
