The article written under the following link will likely be considered controversial. Those of Native history will read it and nod sagely, knowing full well the histories spoken through their peoples. Those NOT of native history will either look at this in horror and believe it to be a fabrication, look at it in horror and go, this is terrible, but how is it anything to do with me. There will be those read and completely ignore as if they had never seen this, and the few whose hearts are touched by the Creator who will read this, and strive for further understanding of the indigenous peoples with whom they share the world.
This material is offered for no other reason, then to convince people that just because its in a book, and they were taught in schools this to be factual even to being able to quote a rhyme about it, DOES NOT MAKE IT TRUE. There is a quote that applies to this, "History is written by the conqueror not the conquered" In this case The Europeans who invaded, attacked and eventually raped the land while proclaiming it was their God given right, and that they were doing the "Savages a favour by bringing them civilisation... " Were teh writers of the history we are taught.
Either way, read and consider, I wont say enjoy because it will be a hard pill to swallow, then go and do your own research, because at the end of the day, people need to be aware to the true horrors on which todays history is built on...
