Maine-Coon Feline Domestic Cat:
This "Gentle Giant" of domestic cats are true to their nature in every sense of the word.
They grow very massive in size, sometimes as large as a medium sized dog or bigger!
But the nature is so docile and beautiful as is their distinctive coats and markings.
They can be furious protectors of their homes and loved masters, and not to underestimated in any way.
They have been known to protect younger children in ways a dog might also do. Specially if a child might find itself in a dangerous situation.. example, several case histories of a Maine-coon cat dragging an infant from a pool or from going into a pool of water by accident. They do make good "Nannies" at times.
The Maine-coon is not so like its smaller cousins who are very independent, and do not need as much attention as being of the typical of the nature of a cat. Maine-coons are more needy of attention on a full-time basis!
And be prepared to put on a feed-bag for this breed! because of their size eat and nibble through-out the day.
Most Maine-coons are seen as long haired with a "Lion-Like" mane around the neck area. But there are shorter haired with less mane around the neck area. The tufts of hair on the ears are on both long and shorter haired, almost reminding one of their cousins the lynx or bob-cat.
The gift the Maine-Coon Cat brings is the inner calmness in all of us, which we can find without the stress that comes in and around our lives if we allow.
They teach us as human-beings, life does not need to be always hectic and stressful. We need only to take one day at a time, one step at a time, one situation at a time.
And as human-beings, to learn what life should be, enjoyed and appreciated and savored as a fresh bowl of milk, a nice warm fire or cool breeze and just let the day do its thing and we do ours..
If you have vision of such a cat, it is trying to tell you to try on a daily basis to relax! before you fall to pieces at the seams! they will only want you accept their nature and learn to love yourself and life to be a more rounded individual. And who knows, you may also become a "Gentle Giant" among the human race, that people will admire and wish they were more like you!
Mole:
There are 12 species of Mole found in the U.S. They are virtually sightless and live most of their lives underground. They are considered by some to be pests, but in fact no more helpful subterranean mammal exists, since they eat thousands of harmful cutworms, wire-worms, and other deprecatory insects. They will sometimes burrow 75 feet in a single night in search for their food. Moles have pointed snouts for wedging in the Earth as they dig. Their presence can be detected as a small mound in the Earth moving as they tunnel their way along, just below the surface. They set up chambers, which they line with grasses, for raising their young . These dens are usually sited under a rock or tree stump for security.
The gift that Mole brings is the power to skillfully move and explore below the surface of things. The energy helps us in a strong way to see and unearth what is hidden in our subconscious minds that keeps us from being happy and well. In the Zuni tradition, Mole is a representative of an Earth Mother.
If Mole has burrowed into your life, you are being asked to dig deeper into yourself, to see what in your mind is serving your needs and what is working against you.
Many Moles have been killed by humans because of unfounded belief that they eat potatoes and other underground crops. Although this is not true, and they actually help cultivate and weed gardens for you. They are continually are being destroyed. So another message for you is to let go of your prejudices and irrational biases.
MOOSE:
Adult male Moose can stand 7 feet tall and weigh 1200 pounds. The bellow very loudly during mating season and can be heard up to 3 miles away. When they hear a Moose cow answer, they run to her, prepared to battle anything in their way. Park rangers and campers, attacked by a Moose, have had to wait in trees for hours before it would leave. Moose graze on soft twigs of the willow birch, spruce and alder trees. To eat grass and moss, they have to get down on their knees since they have such long legs and a short neck.
The quality that Moose teaches usability. Moose can run away quickly when they see you, or they can just stand there and ignore you; or the worst they can take your presence as an offence and maul you.
If you find that you are in a boring pattern that drains your energy, you might seek to connect with the energies of Moose to add spontaneity to your life.
People tend to avoid Moose because there is no foretelling what its actions will be at any given moment. So, if you act without plan or reason at times, Moose might be suggesting that you would do well to change your unpredictable ways.
MOUSE:
There are 76 or so species of Meadow Mouse, 12 species of Lemming Mouse, 17 types of Harvest Mouse, 70 species of the White-Footed Mouse, and 57 species of the Pocket Mouse; then there is the common house Mouse and more-- just in North America. Mice, as well as rodents, eat fallen deer and elk antlers for the calcium and nutrients they contain. When Mice get inside the walls of a house, they are really quite destructive; they multiply at a prodigious rate and all of them will continually gnaw on just about anything. They are evasive, and can zip through openings that you did not even know were there. In a field in the country, there may be thousands of them, but walking through it, you probably will not see one.
The power of Mouse truly lies in illusion. These small mammals have somehow elevated themselves to an amazing status of popularity. Despite their destructiveness to the houses they invade and the millions of dollars of crops and grains, They have somehow become a symbol of cuteness, fun and play.
If a Mouse has come to you, it is asking you to pierce the illusion, and see the way things really are.
