How Come there are Non-Native Recipes in this section...

Food...

We all need it, we all eat it, and most of us enjoy it.

So why are there non Indigenous recipes in this web site?

Well its like this, ALL FOOD IS ESSENTIALLY INDIGENOUS!!! Whoa, I here you say... But ponder this, Pizza and pastas are the "Native" Foods of Italy. Deep rich foods like Borscht are indigenous to Russia and its neighbours, Black pudding and steak and kidney pie very British, Haggis... extreme Scotland. Chinese foods (self explanatory) Thai, Indian curries and Pappadums, Greek with the use of vine leaves, The Maori Hungi where you bury your whole beast in the ground with the veg and cover it with earth until is cooked. Every food can be described as indigenous to a region, a people of the world.

Food is something truly international, crossing all boundaries, we love our pizzas even though they are different to the originals, we love our Chinese, even though it is modified from the food eaten in regional China, so by making this section inclusive to all foods, we are including ALL cultures. I have recipes from Europe dating back to around 600 ad and while some are not particularly appealing, some are wonderful. So by making this section all inclusive, we are not over writing the Indigenous aspects of this website, we are instead showing, that while we may disagree with the peoples of various races (for example those whom have invaded our lands) we still do share some common ground and lets face it ever seen how crazy the white man gets when he discovers a fry bread stand at a pow wow?

If we cant beat them with war and politics, we know we have them beaten with the eatin... :)
