The Eagle and the Spirit of the Wind
By: Jeremy Knox
The eagle soars high above. She glides gracefully through the sky. She is free, She is free.
She looks down from the sky. The land is full of life.
All the other animals can see her beauty.
The animals see her graceful glide in the sun filled sky.
The wind carries her along and whispers to her.
Stay, the wind says. I am lonely and enjoy your presence.
I will blow as long as you want. I will carry you when you are tired and need rest.
The Eagle whispers back. I enjoy your presence too. Without you I can't fly.
There is no one who listens to my songs like you do.
It is calm up here. I have no worries.
Oh Spirit of the Wind never stop blowing.
You are my friend. You are my peace. You are my strength.
Oh Spirit of the Wind, I never tire when I am with you.
You never let me fall. You take me higher and higher.
You listen to my songs and I listen to yours.
Oh Spirit of the Wind, night is falling and I am growing tired.
Carry me to my home and let me sleep.
Tomorrow, we will spend the day together.
Oh Spirit of the wind, take me as high as I can go.
Oh Spirit of the Wind,
you give me peace and joy when I am with you. I am free, I am free.
There is no place I would rather be.
