DISCLAIMER FOR HERBAL RECIPES/REMEDIES:

To all people who come to our site and uses any of our herbal recipes, we are not responsible for any allergic reactions, or any adverse reactions thereof after the treatments. You are responsible for having complete knowledge, of what you can use and cannot for your physical bodies.

We will only post safe and beneficial recipes for you and your families, we are not prescribing doses or treating you as patients as a medical physician.

These are just old remedies of older times, they may work for you or they may not. They are recipes that have been past down through the generations, and are still very much used in some family circles of native and non-native communities.

Homeopathic/herbal remedies are being sought out again, because of the increasing scare of some medical prescriptions on the market.

We are not here to put down the medical professionals in any way, or try to lead people to an alterative medical path.

It is and always will be your individual choice what to use, and how to treat your physical bodies, we only offer what was used by our elders before us and passed down.

We can only hope and pray, we can maybe help some one along the way, where nothing else seemed to work before for their particular ailment.

Some of the prescriptions are for self-help. Where more than one herb is used for a mixture, you will find the prescription given in parts, to enable you to make the correct proportions. Generally you need at least an ounce (30 g) of herbs altogether so a small handful is a useful measure for one part.

The basic proportion for an INFUSION is:
1 ounce dried herbs (30 g) to 1 pint (500 ml) of water for Infusion A
1 teaspoon of dried herb to a cup of water for Infusion B
1/2 ounce (15 g) to a pint (500 ml) for Infusion C

For a DECOCTION is:
1 ounce (30 g) dried root or root bark to 1 pint of water

When making an Infusion Decoction first decoct the roots or bark, then pour the whole over aerial parts to infuse for 15 minutes. Drink one cupful of an Infusion or Decoction hot, three times a day, unless otherwise stated.

When using local applications of Essential Oils, use a ratio of two drops of essential oil to
1- teaspoon of vegetable oil (5 ml). WARNING: DO NOT TAKE ESSENTIAL OILS INTERNALLY!!!!!

For Ailments requiring a TINCTURE take 1 teaspoon three times a day AFTER meals

ALWAYS check with your doctor before attempting herbal treatments-ESPECIALLY if you are on prescription medications of any kind.

For COMPRESSES or POULTICES:
They are used PRN (As needed) for ETERNAL USE ONLY and changed at least 2-3 times daily
